Fun Food For Kids
This website is dedicated to, and the idea of my 8 year old daughter MAYA LYN.
Even at a very young age she was always willing to try different foods. This has helped to shape the good eating habits she has today. Veggies? Bring them on, especially Broccoli!
This site is in the beginning stage of what we hope will become a tool for all parents to guide there choices in food selecttion for their young ones. Whlie we understand good nutition is important, we can still have fun with food!....here are some fun recipes MAYA LYN has come up with.....
Maya's recipes.....
A pomegranate treat
You need:
1 cup of water
3 ice cubes
1 shredded pomegranate
1 cup of Apple or grape juice
Put in blender and blend well
Orange Drink
2 oranges
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup crushed ice
1 teaspoon sugar
Squeeze the orages into a tall cup, add the remaining ingredients, and stir.
Strawberry Frappe
6 oz. container of vanilla yogurt
8 oz. frozen strawberries
1 cup milk
Add ingredients to blender, and blend well
Makes two servings

Has anyone ever taken their 15 month old to Kings Island in Cincinatti Ohio?
My husband, son (who will be 15 at the time of the trip) Myself, sister in law, brother in law and 3 year old nephew are going to PKI in July. Has anyelse taken thier 15 month old there before? Did they have fun? What was thier favorite rides/attractions?
Yes I know about sun and heat safety, so you dont need to remind me of that.

Ok this might sound weird, but has anyone ever tried Wobble dogs?
Absolutely amazing, you gotta set the frankfurts in a fruit jelly of your choice, usually red cause the colouring of the dogs can leak into the jelly before it sets. This can lead to unpredictable colours!! Anyway you gotta slice it up once set and serve with peanut butter, it's kinda weird I know but the dogs wobble!!

Fun food for kids...?
I am babysitting and would like to start a fun lunch program. The children are to young to do the actual cooking however I would like to get their hands on some food. I have thought of making a cheese pizza or tacos and having them add their own toppings/decorations with veggies and meats. I know there are many decoratable desserts however I would like to stay away from recipes with allot of sugar. Does any one have any other ideas? Thanks!
